Misophonia

Do you slurp while drinking any beverages or even water ?

Ugh !!! Yes I do, so what isn't it common???

Hell yesss !

Though it's not, not is my case at least, it makes me so damn sensitive, it disgusts me, anxious, and intolerable of course, When I hear such sounds my mind just gets out of  control, all I notice is that  all those noises and distractions greatly affect my state of mind, it feels disheartening to see others unaffected by those sounds and you are the only one feeling disgusted. It's not merely about slurping, it's about all the nuisances every human being creates, and it's quite common like, sound of chew, sneeze, cough, yawn, crunching, squeezing, and so on, these are normal sounds for normal people is it? So probably I am not a normal person or just unendurable, Ughhhh that's not the case, Since I got to know about this brain disorder MISOPHONIA, it's a disorder, which hatred of sounds, particular sounds.

A person who is suffering from this reacts sensitively to all the sounds described above and will get anxious and violent if gets uncontrollable. It's a biological disorder, immedicable unfortunately.

People who suffer from this are the only one who can feel it.

When such sounds of breathing and chewing bugs them, their mind begins to trigger, it is vociferous for them and it gets hard to tolerate those noise, and even if they try, as this is a rare case so only few understands it and others take it personally when they are asked to eat with closed mouth or anything like that.

It is a biological disorder, it also plays a giant role in emotions because logically it occurs in the part of brain which is responsible for Emotions and this is why sufferer tends to have negative emotions, but it's not like they are unkind.

Since there is no cure of it thus it can solely be controlled and managed. Putting earplugs when you know that such unwanted sound is going to happen, physical exercise, meditation and yoga can help you become a bit more tolerant, hypnosis, ayurvedic treatments, and some exercises of learning to tolerate things like if for 30 mins you do your favorite work of just stay calm and read anything than listen to those unwanted sounds for few minutes that time it won't bug you as usual, repeat this process over and over, proper sleep, less stress and avoiding such sounds especially when you  are at your low.., These things can help a lot.

I've heard one cannot get rid of it, but I believe faith plays a big role. I think practicing good habits, meditation can actually make it normal, it's about brain, and it happens with people who are likely to suffer from depression or OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder).., though anyone could have it. It's a psychological disorder, and needs to be controlled. Making people understand that such sounds can trigger someone sensitively, awareness is all we need, because the one who suffers really deals a lot.
